New project in Rose Bay

The team are hard at it on a fantastic new development in Beresford Road, Rose Bay, and can’t wait to get new images up to reveal all the details.

The site is under complete renovation, including a new swimming pool, and new landscape gardening throughout the grounds of the property.

New artists’ series by Roos Van de Velde

In exciting news for Beautiful Spaces – Inside and Out, we are now featuring the amazing Belgian ceramic porcelain artist series by Roos Van de Velde.

In a recent artist statement, Roos commented on the process for her work:

“I see my ceramic works as a continuous development where one piece or period of work naturally flows into another, like a river, sometimes quiet and sometimes very exuberant.

The ideas for my forms are inspired on the creations of the biggest artist who is Nature. As I see myself as a creation of this Nature, and as a part of an endless spiral, my experiments, exploring and inventing become a part of a bigger all. It’s a transitory of images moulded by fingers and mixed with emotions. Emotions in motion.”

We are proud to present a broad collection of Roos’ work, such as glasses, cups, saucers, plates, bowls and other tableware. These creations have to be seen to be believed, with a breathtaking organic beauty to the shapes and forms of traditional pieces of culinary homewares. It is of no surprise some of the world’s most celebrated chefs, such as Heston Blumenthall and Hellene D’Arroz, choose to feature Roos’ work in their acclaimed restaurants.

Noosa Outrigger Beach Resort

A magical part of Queensland’s Sunshine coast, Noosa is an incredible place surrounded by immensely different scenery.

This project was a 3 level villa. The challenge with this project was to ensure we encaptured the various surroundings of the magnificent location. This included the coastline, the National park rainforest and river scenes.
Each level of this stunning villa has been created with a different look and feel. Even with different styles on each level, we were alway making sure the internal environment worked in unison with the ever changing scenery externally. The mandate for this project was to design the interior without being ” too beachy”. As you can see from the photos, we succeeded.

This eclectic style works beautifully. You are surprised and treated as you enter each room on each level. I am now in the process of starting a new villa in this same development. This website will be updated regularly to enable you to follow the design and progress of this project.

Furniture pieces were custom designed by Gary Hamer. These include the dining table, console, entertainment unit and coffee table, all constructed from American oak and treated with a milk finish.
